We're Moving to Facebook

We are closing down the website and posting all our news on Facebook. Please click on the link below to find us there.

We are a group of guitar players (both accomplished and aspiring) and non-players, and a very sociable bunch, who share an enthusiasm for jazz music, particularly as played on the guitar. Whatever your skill level you will meet people with whom you share an interest and who are eager to play music.

At a typical club night there are informal sessions where people can play together or listen.  Many club members also meet at home in twos and threes to practise together and learn a repertoire. The first hour of most meetings is dedicated to beginners, who are given encouragement and help by more experienced club members.

The club organises a concert twice a year, one in the summer and one at Christmas and these give club members a chance to perform before a live audience.

We hold a guest night once or twice a year, at which a well known guitarist will come and play for us, tell anecdotes about his/her career, pass on tips and answer questions from club members. Guest nights are always very entertaining and we have been lucky enough to have some of the country's best guitarists visit us.

We also run occasional workshops.
